NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held in the War Memorial Hall on Tuesday 4th March 2025 at 19:30.

A G E N D A

  1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

  2. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS (personal and/or pecuniary and/or prejudicial)

  3. PERSONNEL MATTERS – Personal Introduction by candidate and proposal to co-opt Graeme Warnes as a member of Towersey Parish Council and associated paperwork. Sign acceptance of office declaration.

  4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION.
    A period will be allowed for members of the public to address the Council primarily in respect of items on the agenda of this Parish Council meeting but also in the interests of wider public discussion. Please advise the Clerk if you wish to address the Council.

  5. MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 4th February 2025 & matters arising
     Approve the minutes as a true record and chairman to formally sign and date

  6. UPDATE FROM OCC Councillors for this ward and SODC Councillors for this ward.

  7. PLANNING MATTERS

To replace five first floor sash windows on the principal elevation.

FOR INFORMATION:-

Application No : P24/S3593/FUL – removal of former agricultural buildings and barns and the erection of a new self-build dwelling.

South Oxfordshire District Council hereby gives notice that planning permission is

GRANTED for the carrying out of the development referred to above strictly in

accordance with the description, plans and specifications contained in the application

  1. FINANCE –

    Receipts and Payments schedule – authorise disbursements and sign checks. Bank Statement Review and bank balance check per most recent Bank Statement or online.

  2. Parish Business –

    For Information: Oxfordshire County Council Highways Engagement Team cancelled their planned meeting with us on 5th February 2025 due to illness. The meeting has been re-arranged for Wednesday 19th March at 2pm starting at the Crossroads.

    SID – the replacement unit has been ordered & delivered.

    Bench at Pond: The new bench has been ordered. Clarendon 1800 steel in green.

    SPEEDWATCH SCHEME INFORMATION –

    Organised by Thames Valley Police in partnership with Community Speedwatch UK, speedwatch groups in the Thames Valley are provided with a starter kit on a loan basis, including a speed detection device, to help volunteers assist in the battle against speeding motorists.

    Community teams undergo a number of training sessions online and police risk assessments to ensure safety at the roadside.

An online platform allows group-related activities to be self-regulated via an online calendar and also provides vehicle make recognition training. DVLA pre-checks logged registration numbers for authenticity before automatically passing data on to the police for further processing.
